If someone is going to get paid the same amount trying or not, why bother acting golly on the outside if on the inside you clearly want to punch the customer in the face? I agree with Penzo, I believe people should get the opportunity to earn an extra dollar or two for their wonderful performance of liking the costumer. Without the waiter anticipating the tip they'll just do a lousy job, and the paying customer will be unsatisfied. Bad service can cause less customers, loss of income, and eventually the closing of a restaurant. How about those 'no tipping' policies be abolished, so our good waiters and waitresses can come into play.

Remember to Tip Your Waitress
Len Penzo's article It’s as American as Apple Pie, how common it is for an American to go to a restaurant and simply leaving a tip. Penzo explains how some restaurants include the tip on the bill, and how others have a no tip policy. He disagrees with both, but mainly with the no tip policy. He states that its a custom for Americans to leave a tip according to the service the costumer received. Lastly, he believes that taking away the option of leaving a tip can cause the consumer to obtain a horrible experience at the restaurant.
